An Alternative Pizza Bar
A good portion of us have heard of taco bars, sundae bars and quite a few of us have been to the new Chipotle style pizza places where you choose your toppings as you go down the bar. A friend of mine, known as DonttouchmyHonk on the internet, has a recipe for Cold Pizza that makes a great homemade pizza bar offer. Unlike what you probably thought of when I said cold pizza, this version is a naan bread base with cream cheese and whatever vegetables you want on top.
Ingredients
Naan bread
Chive and Onion cream cheese
Garlic Powder
Pepper
Whatever vegetables you want
Prep
Chop up the vegetables into small bits
Lay out the naan
Spread the cream cheese on the Naan
Sprinkle the garlic and pepper over the sauce to taste
Let people add toppings as they please.
It’s recommended to sneak it into the freezer for a few minutes to help things set and settle but not fully necessary. Then just cut the slices and enjoy!
Afterthoughts
This is a super simple pizza that tastes way better than I expected. The most time it takes is the time to chop the vegetables. The cream cheese gives it a perfect taste that made me love vegetables I wasn’t used to eating. Nothing was too overbearing and it’s a cool refreshing treat that filled us up fast. You can cater this exactly to your tastes. Some deli meats that are best cold may also be possibilities with something this simple and easy.
