Valentine's Special: Strawberry Banana Chip Cookies

If you want to make something special for someone that loves fruit and doesn’t always like traditional chocolate, then this is a fun recipe for you. Dried bananas and strawberries compliment cookie dough for an unexpected treat.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 1/2 cup flour

  • 1 stick softened butter

  • 1 egg

  • Dried strawberry and banana chips

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Prep

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 F (177 C)

  2. Add the sugar and butter into a bowl and mix until creamy

  3. Add the egg and vanilla and mix well

  4. Add the flour, baking powder, and baking soda and mix into a dough

  5. Add the strawberry and banana last

  6. Ball into small balls and and add to a prepared cookie tray

  7. Bake for at least 12 minutes or until edges start to brown, these will soft bake

  8. Allow to cool before eating

Afterthoughts

These soft cookies were fun to eat with the crunch of the dried fruit removed to a chewy experience but bringing in an extra sweet to the flavor. An easy treat anyone can make and surprise a loved one. This cookie can delight any fruit lover.
