Pull Apart Pizza, Party Favor or Family hand food

Prep: 15 minutes Bake 30 minutes

Another submission to us, this was a great meal. This is heavy and greasy in all the right places. You will regret it but love it at the same time. This is a base version but as with any pizza, you can add whatever toppings and cheeses you want to make it something special and catered to your tastes. Let’s catapult in.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Buttermilk Southern Style Grands Pillsbury Biscuits (It’s important you don’t get any flaky biscuits)

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese (or whatever mixture that calls to your soul)

  • 2 tbls parsley

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

  • 8 oz pepperoni (at least)

  • Literally any topping you want

  • 1 cup parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (or more if you aren’t a vampire)

  • Pizza sauce of your choice; red, white, weird..

Prep

You’ll want a big mixing bowl to really get in deep with your fingers.

Cast iron makes for great taste

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F

  2. Cut the biscuits into quarters and toss into a large mixing bowl

  3. Cut the pepperoni and all other ingredients into smaller parts and toss into the same bowl

  4. Add literally every other ingredient into the bowl

  5. Roll up your sleeves, tie back your hair and get those fingers into it. Really dig in there and mix all of it together. Let the dough stretch and envelope everything. Get slippery from the oil and just work it into a big old ball of messy dough

  6. Dump into a cast iron pan big enough to hold all of it. Spread it out to fill the pan

  7. Bake uncovered for around 30 minutes. Note the middle, it will bake last, make sure it’s not raw and just deal with the edges. Maybe you can cover them like with pie, I dunno man, experiment

  8. While this is baking, add the pizza sauce to a sauce pan and heat up. You’ll use this to dip so add as much as you like

  9. Let cool before eating

Afterthoughts

The gooey cheese is movie perfect in this bake

This was so good and gooey I can’t believe it. I went all in with my hands and just pulled and broke off pieces. This was like a pizza based bread stick mass that you just go ape on. This was excellent without the dipping sauce and taken to another level with it. I fought to not eat too much. This is easily a family meal. Fast and delicious and a new way to present pizza for the family. Finger food and delicious for kids and others.
