Bacon Wrapped Catfish
Prep: 5 minutes Bake: 15-20 minutes
I had a few things lying around so I tossed this together and it was amazing. Bacon goes great with the catfish, I used a cajun spice for seasoning and topped it on some cajun potatoes and a cream sauce for a delicious meal. I love simple things that burst in flavor.
Ingredients
1 catfish
2 strips bacon
Season as desired. I used Cajun seasoning smeared on top of the fish
Prep
Preheat your oven to 375 F (190 C)
Season the catfish as desired and let sit to marinade if you’d like
Wrap the two strips of bacon around the fish
Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and add the fish to it
Bake covered for 10 minutes and uncovered for at least another 10
You want to watch for the bacon to be cooked through, the fish should fall apart easily
Afterthoughts
This was fantastic. I paired this with some pan friend potatoes that had cajun seasoning, minced garlic, onion, and heavy cream added to complete the meal and it was immaculate. All the flavors combined well and made a filling meal that was not too heavy for me as it could have been. I highly recommend this for any dinner.
