C'est La Cuisine: Bacon Hash Potatoes
Prep: 7 minutes Cook: 20 minutes
If you’re looking for a fun side dish, hashed potatoes are great, fun, and can be customized in so many ways. I added crumbled bacon and some sausage to mine, you could also add cheese, onions, gravy, and more. Let’s dive in.
Ingredients
1 potato
2 tbls butter
Toppings as desired (I used 2 strips of bacon and some sausage)
Prep
Heat a pan to medium heat
Add the bacon and cook til crispy
Set aside
Remove the grease from the pan and set to medium heat
Peel the potato
Use a cheese grater to shred the potato
Add the butter to the pan and when melted add the shredded potato
I added a little garlic for seasoning, but you can do this as desired
Stir often to make sure all of the potato bits get cooked, they’ll start to brown and harden when finishing up
Crumble and add the bacon and any other toppings when it’s nearly done and mix together
Afterthoughts
This was super simple and super tasty. I love potatoes and having more ways to enjoy them is always a blast. The shredded potato cooked faster than thicker dices and it was like being at Waffle House. This side dish is a lot of fun and this makes a lot of potatoes you can feed a couple people per potato.
